This gives you a very interesting opportunity to collaborate (work with) various schools in and outside Pune city. You will be responsible for conducting & leading the hearing test for school students between age 6-to-10 years. These hearing tests are conducted using a bluetooth headset and an android / iOS mobile app. The app is very easy to use and we would be giving you training on how to use this app, in advance of the school camp. 1 school test typically consists of 100 or more students; and at the end of the camp, you will also get to generate summary reports of school tests, that would be presented it to Dr. Vinaya Chitale and to the school principal. Testing of this sort has never been done in india in school children. This screening test enables you to detect mild to moderate hearing loss, that might go unnoticed. Undetected hearing loss can lead to difficulties in speech & language development. So Volunteers who are passionate about medical camps, social service, and working with children would enjoy this camp. In the end, we will be issuing all volunteers a special certificate from our Foundation, which will add to your skillset and to your resume. In this role, you will be responsible for serving the elderly population in our community. Everyone needs physical and emotional assistance during their old age; and it is a great opportunity to help our elder generation. While doing such volunteering, we get to learn from their experiences, grow our network, and we also make great old and wise friends. We would typically assign you an elderly couple / single person that is close to your home, so that you do not have to travel far. Your job would be to assist seniors with their medical needs, give them company, or play indoor games of your choice, run their errands.
